Eileen Prasad (Registered Clinical Counsellor)

Eileen Prasad works with individuals, couples, children, and teens, supporting clients through trauma, life transitions, and cultural identity concerns.

With over 20 years of experience in the school system, Eileen has supported a wide range of students and families from diverse backgrounds. Her work in education has deepened her understanding of how identity, family, and community shape the ways people experience and respond to life’s challenges.

As a Registered Clinical Counsellor and the daughter of South Asian immigrants, Eileen brings a culturally grounded and inclusive lens to her practice. She integrates culturally adapted practices that honour each client’s unique story, strengths, and values.

Her approach is strength-based, trauma-informed, and collaborative, drawing from evidence-based and inclusive modalities such as:

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

  • Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)

  • Somatic techniques

  • Play therapy techniques

  • Support for neurodiversity

  • Other tailored, evidence-based approaches

Eileen believes the relationship between client and therapist is at the heart of healing. She is committed to providing a compassionate, nonjudgmental space grounded in empathy, cultural humility, and respect—where every person feels seen, heard, and supported in their growth.
